DREY
DREY privacy policy
Last updated August 5, 2026
DREY is a non-custodial Bitcoin and Ordinals wallet operated by Squirrel Systems LLC. This policy covers the DREY iOS app and the browser extension for Chrome and Brave.
Data kept on your device
- Encrypted software-seed vaults and wallet keys.
- Wallet accounts, addresses, activity state, labels, settings, and site permissions.
- Lock state and session information needed to operate the extension.
Recovery words, private keys, and wallet passwords are not sent to Squirrel Systems. Removing a wallet through DREY or uninstalling the app or extension removes its local application storage, subject to operating-system behavior and any backups you independently created. DREY does not create a hosted user account.
Hosted gateway requests
DREY contacts wallet-api.squirrelsystems.net for signed service
status, public blockchain discovery, classifications, fees, broadcast,
prices, and bounded inscription information. Requests may contain public
wallet identifiers such as addresses, scripts, outpoints, or transaction
data needed for the requested function. Broadcasting necessarily submits a
signed transaction to the Bitcoin network.
Operational logging
The gateway disables ordinary request logging. Its privacy-safe operational events contain a request identifier, method, operation, status, duration, and non-sensitive result codes—not wallet addresses, transaction contents, recovery material, or passwords. The production system journal is capped at 30 days.
No launch telemetry
DREY does not automatically upload analytics, crash reports, support bundles, browsing history, or wallet activity exports. The site bridge does not disclose accounts, addresses, balances, inscriptions, or signing authority before explicit per-site approval.
Chrome Web Store Limited Use
Drey's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
iOS permissions
On iOS, DREY requests camera access only after you choose a QR-scanning action. Camera frames are processed for that scan and are not uploaded by DREY. The app does not request microphone access.
Read Google's Limited Use policy.
Service providers and public networks
Infrastructure providers may process network metadata to deliver and protect the gateway. Bitcoin transactions and public-chain information are visible on the Bitcoin network and may be observed or retained by unrelated third parties.
Your choices
You can revoke a site connection, lock or remove a wallet, reset DREY, or uninstall the app or extension. Because DREY has no hosted user account, there is no server account to delete. For a privacy request concerning gateway operations, email drey@squirrelsystems.net.
